Program Description

The program is fully online, with 7-week courses, and designed to be completed in one year or at the pace that suits each learner. Courses are taught by faculty who are experts in their fields and all students receive academic advising from the program coordinator and other full-time faculty.

 

  • Students must complete a total of 30 credits of required coursework.

  • Admission to the MSM program is open on a rolling basis. All applicants must provide evidence of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA. Students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree seeking program must provide evidence of a pending degree at the time of application. Additionally, application to the program requires a current resume highlighting relevant job experience and contact information for two professional references. All applications will be reviewed by an admissions committee.

    Critical Thinking

    Analysis and evaluation of complex ideas and information as a basis of formulating well-reasoned beliefs, judgements, and conclusions to support leadership and strategic decisions in organizations.

    Communication

    Identifying and utilizing the most appropriate means to address organizational stakeholders with the aim of effectively informing, leading, and persuading.

    Quantitative Reasoning

    Evaluation of appropriate models, tools, and approaches to support evidence-based leadership and strategic decision-making in organizations.

    Ethical Reasoning

    Recognition of ethical issues, identifying own ethical positions, and analyzing other ethical perspectives in order to consider the impact of leadership and strategic organizational decisions and actions on other individuals, society, and the environment.
